Shop Profile: Infinitine
Friday June 27, 2014

A few weeks ago, Infinitine, a small jewelry shop based in South Korea, sent me this necklace:

Even though the store ships its products from South Korea, the necklace took only 3 days to arrive. It’s beautiful—the chain is so much more delicate and elegant than those at typical jewelry stores, and the paper crane charm was directly attached to the chain, showing how detailed the workmanship is. I love my necklace, and highly recommend this shop!

Trend Report: Spring/Summer 2014
Thursday June 12, 2014

This season, it’s all about comfort.

Loose Pants

  • Skinny jeans are finally out! In their place we see looser, lighter pants; perfect for summer.image

Stripes

  • This bold pattern has been making its way down designers’ runways this season. Stripes of all kind are everywhere—from shirts and dresses to skirts and pants.image

Linen

  • This fabric is slowly replacing the previous lace/chiffon fad and rising to popularity this season. Linen is often seen in (loose) pants, as well as cropped tops.image

Artist Spotlight: Arran Gregory
Wednesday June 11, 2014

image

Arran Gregory is a British 2D and 3D artist whose exhibitions have been featured in London’s Somerset House as well as electronic duo AlunaGeorge’s "Your Drums Your Love" music video. The geometric look of his sculptures (such as WOLF, the one pictured above) distinguishes him from more conventional modern artists. Gregory frequently uses pinewood, pencil, ink, light, mirrors, and even straws as his medium. His website, where he displays a virtual collection of his work, is linked here.
